All students who have taken a clay class in New Dimensions studio over the summer must come and take home your bisque fired work on the shelves outside the kiln room. Pieces that are not removed this week will have to be disposed of by September 20. You can bring them back and glaze them during open studio times, but we do not have enough room to store your pieces indefinitely. Thank you!

The roots mirror the branches stretching far below ground as the branches above. In a mixed forest of trees with bare limbs, the oak's summer foliage may still be clinging to its boughs as Christmas approaches.

"Tikkun Olam" (Hebrew: "Heal the World") is a Spiritual Process for those who want to discover and free their gifts to serve/ heal the world in this huge moment. It means the opening of eyes, and the awakening, healing, consecration of the heart, the hands, and the voice. It begins with an Initiatory Evening to awaken the heart, hands, and voice through music, singing, interaction, reflection... All are welcome. No cost. Free will offering to church. Forest Quest Scavenger Hunt

A new competitive event coming this fall will inspire participants to explore local forest preserves while supporting nature education. Forest Quest Scavenger Hunt is a 24-hour Event that takes you off the beaten path to discover the wild, weird, and wonderful secrets of the Forest Preserves of Winnebago County. This event is presented by Forest Preserves of Winnebago County and Severson Dells Nature Center. Click here for more information and to register your team! Laurent House Twilight Tour

The Twilight Tour is two hours and begins at the Loves Park City Hall (100 Heart Boulevard in Loves Park), where you will be taken by shuttle to the Laurent House on nearby Spring Brook Road. Before your tour begins, enjoy a glass of wine, beer, or a soft drink, along with an assortment of delicious appetizers and a slice of Frank Lloyd Wright's favorite birthday cake in recognition of his 150th birthday! Harvest Fest 2017

Please join us during Mental Illness Awareness Week as we celebrate and support the Jubilee Center, a program of Shelter Care Ministries that serves adults with chronic mental illness who are at risk of homelessness. Enjoy a chili supper or hot dog, beverages, desserts, live music, raffles, and activities for children. $15/adult; $5/children 12 and under.
