New Museum Pass Only at Gladwyne!
You can now check out a pass to the Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle!
About the Museum: The Mercer Museum is a six-story reinforced concrete castle designed by Henry Mercer (1856-1930) and completed in 1916. Today, it is one of Bucks Countyโs premier cultural attractions and a Smithsonian affiliate.
The museum complex features local and national traveling exhibits, as well as a core museum collection of over 50,000 pre-Industrial tools. This permanent collection offers visitors a unique window into pre-Industrial America through sixty different crafts and trades, and is one of the worldโs most comprehensive portraits of pre-Industrial American material culture.

Special Privileges?
Yes, this new museum pass comes with a special privilege! Lower Merion libraries usually only allow one museum pass checkout per family, but since the Mercer Museum is linked historically (and by proximity) with the
Moravian Pottery and Tile Works, Gladwyne is allowing these two passes to be checked out together. Nice!

Keep your eyes out for Gladwyne's soon-to-be-added collection of Wifi Hotspots!
Not officially available for checkout yet, these devices will allow you to access to internet from wherever you are! They are handy for any situation where you need connectivity in an otherwise wifi-free area. You could use it to check your email on a camping trip, to give your kids access to their homework at a relative's house, or to help a loved one without internet gain access to health or other information (especially seniors). Also useful for offering connectivity at community events. One little device... lots of possibilities!
